Solnet Platform Documentation

Overview

solnet is a permissioned Solana (Agave) validator cluster operated by Rimark Technology Inc. It serves as the platform layer for consortium-style settlement networks. This documentation describes the platform at a level appropriate for prospective consortium members and partners.

Architecture at a glance

  • Permissioned validator cluster. Five validators with equal stake and 4-of-5 supermajority consensus, tolerating a single validator failure without halting.
  • Isolated by design. Validators run with no public IP exposure inside an isolated virtual network. There is no public RPC ingress.
  • Platform layer only. solnet provides the consensus substrate. Application and settlement-program logic are a separate, future layer and are not part of the current platform.

Security and compliance

The platform is built to SOC 2 standards (Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality). See the Security page for our practices. Infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure.

Availability

The cluster is designed for high availability through validator redundancy and a monitored snapshot/backup pipeline, with defined recovery objectives (RPO and RTO of 60 minutes or less for single-validator recovery).
